Detroit is a city built on community and strength. At Make Voters the Donors, we proudly continue that tradition by advocating for meaningful reform to remove big money from politics and amplify everyday voices.
Many residents are unaware that wealthy donors and corporations exert outsized influence over elections and policy, often overshadowing the concerns of ordinary people. We aim to change that.
Join us on Wednesday, April 14, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the McGregor Memorial Conference Center Room J for the event:
“Make Voters the Donors: Dan McMillan’s Vision for Real Reform.”
Our founder, Dan McMillan (historian, former prosecutor, and dedicated reform advocate) will present the Voter Dollars proposal. This innovative approach empowers registered voters to become the primary donors in campaigns, restoring true government by the people.
This free event is open to all students, staff, and community members. It offers a great opportunity to learn about the proposal, ask questions, and explore ways to get involved in building a fairer democracy.
To learn more, visit makevotersthedonors.org, email organizer August Shettler at [email protected], or call our office at 202-750-1684. We look forward to seeing you there!
