Community Forum: Jewish Community Resources for the Dementia Journey

Jewish Community Resources for the Dementia Journey is a free Community Forum event being held at Jewish Federation of Detroit (6735 Telegraph Road, Bloomfield Hills) that will bring together local experts who care for those living with dementia. A dementia diagnosis impacts the entire family, and navigating it can feel overwhelming, but families do not have to face it alone. A panel of experts including Debi Banooni of The Dorothy & Peter Brown Jewish Community Adult Day Program, Evie Lynn Breuer of Jewish Family Service, Tracey Proghovnick of Jewish Senior Life and Natalie Rosenfield of Jewish Hospice and Chaplaincy Network will share valuable information about resources and supports within the Jewish community available to you and your loved ones; the panel will be moderated by Jewish Federation of Detroit’s Director of Philanthropy Marianne Bloomberg. While all of the agencies taking part are Jewish, all serve the greater community regardless of race, religion and sexual orientation. Whether you’re newly diagnosed, a family member, or a caregiver, resources and guidance for every stage of this journey will be provided. To register for the Community Forum on Dementia, go to jlive.app/events/10962 or call 248-592-2313.
