Play Practice: Theatre Making Workshop & Lab
Ready to get creative and make theatre from the ground up? Join us for PLAY PRACTICE, Matrix Theatre Company’s monthly theatre-making workshop and open lab, happening on Sunday, October 12! Whether you’re a seasoned performer, a playwright in progress, or simply curious about the creative process, this is a welcoming space to experiment, collaborate, and play.
This program is designed for adults (18+) of all experience levels — from beginners exploring theatre for the first time to artists looking to develop new work. Come to one session or make it a monthly ritual — we meet on second Sundays, with additional sessions on November 9 and December 14.
Workshop – 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM
Start the afternoon with guided exercises and collaborative theatre-making tools to spark your imagination.
💲 Sliding Scale: $10–$20
Lab – 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
After the workshop, stay for an open creative lab — a supportive, flexible space to explore ideas, devise new material, and connect with other theatre-makers.
