VOAMI Adopt a Family for Christmas Program – Metro Detroit

Volunteers of America Michigan (VOAMI) is coordinating their annual Adopt a Family program and is asking the metro Detroit community to help support their neighbors in need by purchasing and delivering holiday gifts to families to help ease their stress and bring joy during this holiday season. The families to be adopted have applied through Volunteers of America Michigan to be a part of this program. Community members, businesses and organizations interested in adopting a family can visit www.voami.org/adopt-a-family/ to register, read stories about the families, review their gift wish lists, and select a family to adopt by clicking “Commit to Adoption” at the top of the page. A confirmation email and instructions will then be sent to adopters who are instructed on how to reach out directly to the adopted family to arrange a drop-off time, date and location. The deadline to adopt a family is December 15, and all gifts must be delivered to adopted families​ by December 19. Metro Detroit residents who purchase gifts must deliver their gifts directly to the family they adopt.
