MALIN AKERMAN to appear at MC3 and host special Q&A and screening of "WATCHMEN"at Emagine Novi
WHAT: Malin Akerman will be appearing at Motor City Comic Con (MC3), Michigan’s largest and longest running comic book and pop culture convention hosted at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi Friday, May 16 – Sunday, May 18, 2025. On Friday evening, immediately following her convention appearance, she will be hosting a special screening movie event on the Super EMX screen of the 2009 movie, WATCHMEN at Emagine Novi.
Malin Akerman is best known for her performances in the television series, Billions, Children’s Hospital, and Trophy Wife. In addition to her breakout role as Laurie Juniper aka Silk Spectre in Watchmen, she has had lead roles in The Final Girls, The Heartbreak Kid, and Rock of Ages.
Malin Akerman will be on-site at the Suburban Collection Showplace Friday, May 16, Saturday, May 17, and Sunday, May 18 signing autographs, taking photos and meeting with Motor City Comic Con guests. Suburban Collection Showplace is located at 46100 Grand River Ave. in Novi, Michigan.
Following her convention appearance on Friday, Malin Akerman will host a WATCHMEN Q&A panel followed by a free screening of the movie, at Emagine Novi. Emagine Novi is located at 44425 W. 12 Mile Road in Novi, Michigan.

Tickets for the WATCHMEN Q&A movie event with Malin Akerman are $40. Admission to Motor City
Comic Con is not included in the movie ticketed event; however, it is required to attend as this is a special movie event opportunity that is available for MC3 guests. Tickets to attend Motor City Comic Con range depending on single day or weekend pass admissions.

ABOUT WATCHMEN: In a version of 1985 where superheroes exist, the murder of a colleague sends active vigilante Rorschach on the trail of a conspiracy that will change the course of history. The Watchmen, comprised of the Comedian (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), Dr. Manhattan (Billy Crudup), Nite Owl II (Patrick Wilson), Ozymandias (Matthew Goode), Rorschach (Jackie Earle Haley), and Silk Spectre II (Carla Gugino) – are a disparate band of masked superheroes, modeled after the Minuteman who were masked superheroes of a generation earlier. Malin Akerman plays Laurie Jupiter, the human persona of Silk Spectre II who is Dr. Manhattan’s assistant and lover. The film is rated R.
