Detroit Poetry Showcase
Hosted by La Shaun phoenix Moore, this event features dynamic poetry readings by some of Detroit's finest poets including Michigan Poet Laureate Nandi Comer, a Q&A with the poets, and an open mic opportunity!
This reading is presented alongside "How We Make the Planet Move: The Detroit Collection Part I," an exhibition honoring Detroit’s rich artistic legacy from the 1960s to today. Taking its name from a poem by Detroit-born jessica Care moore, the exhibition reflects the spirit of resilience and creativity that defines the city.
