Reading History: Book Club Inspired FREE Exhibit Tour

What do books and museum exhibits have in common? Both bring the past to life through powerful stories. Register to join the State Historical Museum of Iowa on Saturday, March 28 for Reading History: A Book-Inspired Tour, a unique book club experience at the museum that blends reading, discussion, and exploration. The March program features Caroline: Little House, Revisited by Sarah Miller. The program begins with a guided group discussion of the book (no need to have read the book yet!), followed by a staff-led tour of museum exhibits inspired by its themes and setting. Along the way, you'll encounter objects connected to the story and learn about the lives of Iowans who lived during this time period. Whether you're a history enthusiast, a book lover, or both, this program offers a unique way to connect literature with real-life stories from Iowa's past. This program is in partnership with Storyhouse Bookpub. Need a copy of the book? Storyhouse Bookpub in the East Village, Des Moines, IA (https://storyhousebookpub.com/) has copies available for purchase prior to the program.
