Bishop Mark J. Seitz - BROKEN AT THE BORDER
St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church and Student Center at Drake University presents its inaugural Dialogue Series. “Faith in Action for the Common Good” is the theme of this new series, which aspires to be a catalyst for transformative spiritual growth for persons of all walks of faith.
Mark J. Seitz has served as the Bishop of the Diocese of El Paso, TX since 2013. As a leader in a borderland community adjacent to Chihuahua, Mexico, Seitz has focused his work and heart on the poor and vulnerable, including migrant families and refugees. Having spent years walking with immigrants, working with Texas elected officials, and conversing with border agents, he will share his perspective on a topic that many Americans view as critically important to the future of the U.S.
The St. Catherine of Siena Dialogue Series will coordinate additional events, features, and opportunities for small group discussions both prior to, and following, Bishop Seitz’s speaker event as well.
Admission is FREE, but RSVPs are recommended.
