Iowa Sacred Harp Singing Convention
Learn how to sing Early American shape-note music. An instructional singing school takes place at 9 am before the Convention begins at 9:30. All are welcome, and no prior experience is needed. The event is free and open to all. Observers are welcome, too! Bring a Sacred Harp hymnal or borrow a book that will be provided. Bring a dish for the 12:00 noon pot-luck lunch, a part of the Sacred Harp tradition.
