His experience as a member of the Capitol's caucus staff and nearly ten years as a lobbyist make him particularly effective at navigating the legislative process for others, including the Izaak Walton League. Dane grew up on a farm in northern Iowa, and graduated from the University of Iowa with honors in 2008. He received a law degree from Valparaiso University in 2011, graduating with honors.
