Free! Join the Des Moines Art Center’s April Social Saturday event: Plot Twist! Enjoy book nooks for reading in the galleries, crafts in the Art School studios, a guided tour, a unique performance in Levitt Auditorium, treats in the Art Center Café, and so much more!

Find the Social Saturday interactive Art Cart in the galleries.
Relax for a while and enjoy a book nook reading setting among the art, set up throughout the museum galleries.

Art School Studios
Explore creativity and your inner artist! Free drawing available in Studio 5, as well as zine/mini-comic book making and flip stick animations in the other studio spaces.
Art Center Café
Stop by for a sit-down lunch or a delicious la mie pastry; a full hot/cold espresso menu is available. Art Center members receive a 10% in the café every day.
