Join us in welcoming author Sherry Krehbiel to the store. Sherry will be teaching us all about the life cycle of butterflies with some special visual aids, as well as signing copies of her book. About the Author
Sherry Krehbiel is has spent years gardening and nurturing butterfly habitats. She is a facilitator of learning with three decades of experience in education.
For the past fifteen years, she had been able to offer outdoor learning to three to six years old’s using the Montessori approach towards learning. Her outdoor classroom included gardening and nurturing habitats for butterflies.
At home half the year in Kansas, and the other half on King’s River, a branch of Table Rock Lake in Missouri/Arkansas, Sherry is often found exploring and planning her butterfly garden by the lake where First Comes a Butterfly takes place.
Besides butterflies, Sherry and her husband, Mark, raised three children who have given them nine amazing grandchildren. Now retired, but still learning as she gardens, feeds and identifies birds, raises a variety of butterflies, and paints the nature that surrounds her.
