FORE! Our Parks Golf Outing and Bike Ride
Join the Friends of Des Moines Parks for the 13th annual FORE! Our Parks golf outing and bike ride on Friday, June 12, 2026. This is the only charity golf outing with a bike option that we know of! Grab your friends and come out to support Des Moines parks, trails and recreational programs! Proceeds from this event go right back into the community by supporting improvements like new trail signage, updated equipment in our community centers, public art in our parks, and many other enhancements that keep our shared spaces safe, welcoming, and fun for all.
Tee off or pedal with purpose! The festivities begin at noon with an 18-hole round at the historic Waveland Golf Course. Teams can compete for top honors, including prizes for the lowest score and special hole contests with free pizza and announcements afterward.
Prefer to explore on two wheels? Join the social bike ride at 1pm that starts and ends at Waveland, featuring three refreshment stops along scenic city trails and ending with complimentary pizza for all riders. It’s a great way to unwind, connect, and enjoy Des Moines’ beautiful biking routes at your own pace.
