Join us at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at The Highlands Ranch LDS Stake Center, 9800 Foothills Canyon Blvd #B, Highlands Ranch, CO 80129 for a presentation of ‘Unusual Places to Find Irish Births and Naturalizations in American Records,” by genealogist, author, and librarian Debra Dudek.
Widen your search for your Irish ancestor's birth date, place of origin, and their American naturalization details from a variety of underutilized resources! In this lecture, you'll learn how to utilize a combination of research methodologies and combine them with military rosters, sailing registers, professional registrations, and much more! Debra will focus on both digital and physical resources, so bring your research checklist and see if these resources can help you fill in the gaps in your family tree.
Debra M. Dudek is Head of Adult and Teen Services at the Fountaindale Public Library District in Bolingbrook, IL. She holds a postgraduate certificate in Genealogical, Paleographic & Heraldic Studies from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland. Ms. Dudek is the Book Review Editor of the Illinois State Genealogical Society, an executive board member of the Illinois State Historical Society, website coordinator for the Chicago Chapter of The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) and is the author of the World War I Research Guide: Tracing American Military and Non-Combatant Ancestors.
