Happy Hour Chamber Concerts presents Seicento
Happy Hour is delighted to welcome a consort of the Seicento Baroque Ensemble to present a concert of chamber music by women composers of the Renaissance and Baroque periods. The program will include music by Maddalena Casulana, Barbara Strozzi, Elisabeth Jacquet de La Guerre and Anna Bon. Despite extraordinary odds, thee women were prolific composers of music that has survived, even though their output was mostly excluded from performances for hundreds of years following their deaths. Beside to join us and enjoy the wonder of this music.
