Mindful Museum Day


Mindfulness is about being fully present in the moment and aware of what is happening in our bodies, minds, and all around us. It can help calm our minds, ease stress, and positively impact our health and well-being. The Still’s beautiful galleries are already a wonderful place to gather your thoughts, process emotions, and connect with the present moment as you engage with the artworks, either on your own or with friends and family. There are many ways to be mindful in this space and participate in this day. Enjoy the space in whatever way works for you! Take some time to look closely at one painting and see what it sparks for you. Bring a book and read in the galleries, listen to your favorite music or podcast as you walk around, or pick a spot to sit and breathe. Don’t forget to enjoy the terraces and forecourt spaces for some time outside, and stop by The Making Space. Register for one or more of the mindful programs: Reflective Journaling: 10:30–11:30 a.m. Sensory Adventures: 1:30–2:30 p.m. Meditation in the Galleries: 3:30–4:30 p.m. Read more about each of the programs on our website. All programs are included with regular Museum admission. Please register in advance. Space is limited. Please note: If you want to register for more than one Mindful Museum Day program, please register for one program, and you will receive a code in your confirmation email allowing you to register for the other program(s) for free. You must register for each program you plan to attend.
