Colorado’s culinary and cultural landscape will reach a new milestone on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, with the official launch of the Colorado Chapter of Les Disciples d’Escoffier USA. The inaugural event will take place from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Catalyst HTI - Event Center, bringing together chefs, food professionals, business leaders, and Francophiles from across the state.
Founded in France in 1954, Les Disciples d’Escoffier is an internationally respected gastronomic society dedicated to preserving and transmitting the culinary philosophy and humanistic values of Auguste Escoffier, a pioneer of modern French cuisine. With chapters across Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Africa, the organization promotes culinary excellence, mentorship, ethical professionalism, and cultural exchange through gastronomy.
The creation of a Colorado chapter reflects the state’s growing reputation for culinary creativity, artisanal production, and international gastronomy. The inaugural evening will mark the formal induction of the first Colorado-based Disciples and will introduce the chapter’s mission to the broader community.
Event highlights include:
Official inauguration of the Colorado Chapter
Induction ceremony of founding members
Culinary tastings inspired by French gastronomic traditions
Networking among chefs, restaurateurs, producers, educators, and community leaders
“This chapter is about more than cuisine—it is about transmission, mentorship, and building bridges between cultures through food,” said the chapter’s leadership, Chef Yvan Heraud. “Colorado is a natural home for these values.”
The event is expected to draw leaders from the culinary, hospitality, cultural, and business communities, underscoring the role of gastronomy as a vehicle for cultural exchange and community building.
