The Colorado Choir, one of Denver’s premier a cappella choral ensembles, announced the dates and location of two upcoming live concerts. The performances, called Celebrate! are slated for Friday, February 28 and Saturday, March 1, 2025. Both events will be held at 7:30 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church, located at 4500 E. Hampden Ave., Cherry Hills Village, CO 80113.
With concert dates straddling February’s Black History Month and Women’s History Month in March, the carefully chosen musical selections pay homage to both noteworthy celebrations. The powerful cantata “They Called Her Moses” honors the remarkable life of American abolitionist Harriet Tubman. Inspired works from eight talented women composers, spanning hundreds of years across multiple countries, round out the program.
“We’re taking this opportunity to recognize the significant, yet often-overlooked contributions made by incredibly talented Black and women composers,” said The Colorado Choir’s Conductor and Artistic Director, Kelly Parmenter. “We invite everyone to join us in celebrating their musical achievements.”
Ticket pricing is $20 for adults; $15 for seniors, students and military; and $10 for livestream. The livestream will begin at 7:15 pm on Sat., Mar. 1 and then be available as a video through March 31, 2025. Tickets may be purchased at thecoloradochoir.org or at the door. Cash, checks, and major credit cards are accepted.
