Pollinator Gardening at Barr Lake State Park
Bring the whole family for a fun morning maintaining the pollinator garden at Barr Lake State Park just north of Denver! Volunteers will plant native shrubs and perennials, remove invasive weeds, and spread native seed. We'll also learn about insect monitoring from Colorado Parks and Wildlife biologists! At the end of the project WRV will provide lunch to celebrate our accomplishments, and all are invited to stay and enjoy the park. Entry is free for volunteers, and we'll even gift you a day pass to return on your own!
Traer a toda la familia para una mañana divertida cuidando al jardin de polinizadores en Barr Lake State Park, justo al norte de Denver! Los voluntarios van a plantar arbustos y plantas perennes nativos, quitar malezas invasoras, y esparcir semillas nativas. Tambien aprendemos sobre el monitoreo de insectos con biólogos de Colorado Parks and Wildlife! Al fin del proyecto WRV pone el almuerzo para celebrar nuestros logros, y todos están invitados a quedarse y disfrutar del parque.
