“BARN To Be Me” Fashion Show Brings High-Fashion, Transformation, and Purpose to Parker
On Saturday, March 28, fashion meets purpose at The Evans Barn as acclaimed fashion artist Borris Powell presents “BARN To Be Me” — a powerful runway experience rooted in transformation, identity, and becoming.
Co-produced with Aesthetic 360 Lash & Med Spa, the show features Bad Moms of Parker, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit, as the featured nonprofit, with partial proceeds supporting its mission to uplift and support mothers and families in the Parker community.
Set inside the rustic elegance of The Evans Barn, BARN To Be Me tells the story of being lost, stripped down, and ultimately found — a theme that mirrors both Powell’s personal journey and the values of the organizations involved.
“This show is about authenticity, inclusion, and giving people permission to fully be who they are,” said Lauren Taylor, fashion show coordinator and owner of Aesthetic 360 Lash & Med Spa. “At Aesthetic 360, we help people feel confident from the inside out. Partnering with Borris and Bad Moms allows us to celebrate self-expression, resilience, and real transformation — not just in fashion, but in life.”
Powell, a Los Angeles-based designer who has produced fashion shows in Parker, Chicago, and Los Angeles, is known for redefining the runway. Raised in subsidized housing in North Alabama by a single mother, Powell’s journey shaped a creative philosophy centered on living fully in the moment.
“My design philosophy and my life philosophy are the same,” Powell shared in previous interviews. “I live for today, for the moment. Beauty exists everywhere if you pay attention — and this show is a reminder that becoming who you are is part of the beauty.”
Unlike traditional fashion events, BARN To Be Me is an immersive runway performance where fashion, live music, and storytelling collide. Powell even fronts the show himself, performing live with a band as his collection unfolds. VIP guests are invited to an exclusive pre-show meet-and-greet with the designer, featuring complimentary drinks and appetizers prior to the runway presentation.
