Laurence Rees, a former head of BBC TV History programs, is the author of "The Holocaust: A New History" (a Sunday Times bestseller) and "Inside the Nazi Mind: Twelve Warnings from History," both widely praised by "The Telegraph", "The Times", and "The Independent". He has written nine books and produced major documentary series including “The Nazis: A Warning from History”, “Auschwitz: The Nazis and the “Final Solution”, and “World War II: Behind Closed Doors”. Educated at Oxford, he has been a visiting senior fellow at the London School of Economics and holds honorary doctorates from the University of Sheffield and the Open University. His awards include a BAFTA, Peabody, Grierson Award, British Book Award and Emmys.
