Rising Excellence: 25th Anniversary Celebration
DBDT: Encore! presents a special two-night only anniversary performance at Moody Performance Hall!
Celebrating 25 years of artistic brilliance, each evening will showcase different works from the company’s distinguished history and feature two premieres—the visceral and sharp "Church of Nations" by Deeply Rooted Dance Theater’s acclaimed co-founder, Kevin Iega Jeff, and the affecting and poignant "Mama’s Chair" by emerging choreographer Cameron Jade Harris.
Also on the program: Nicholas Villeneuve's colorful "The Art of Waiting", Christopher L. Huggins’ masterful "Chaos", Richard A. Freeman, Jr.’s wistful "Unsettled Thoughts", Zach Law Ingram’s incandescent "Phoenix", and the sweeping "Tidal Intersections" by Katarzyna Skarpetowska.
