"The Impossible 84-String Hack": A Sonic Earthquake Hits Dallas
Traditional music just got "hacked." What you are about to witness on May 8th is not a standard concert—it is a two-year vision finally erupting onto the stage.
The Mission: Engineering the Impossible
For two years, I have curated a vision to fuse ancient lineage with radical modern engineering. But the true battle began months ago: I locked myself away, obsessively re-engineering a 4-Guzheng rig into a massive 84-string command center. My relentless goal was to "hack" the chromatic complexities of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon—cracking the code of its impossible musical architecture.
This is not a performance for the faint of heart. It is a high-stakes, "impossible" dialogue between my 84-string beast and a 300-year-old masterpiece cello, colliding over 2,500 years of Guzheng heritage.
The Convergence: Where East Meets West
I have invited Joseph Kuipers, the "Yo-Yo Ma of Texas" and protégé of the legendary Steven Isserlis, to join me in this sonic warfare. Watching Joseph’s classical mastery collide with the raw, re-engineered power of my 84-string rig is a moment of pure, unscripted electricity.
To anchor this collision, we have gathered a supergroup:
• The Matriarch of the Guzheng: Grandmaster Shui Wen Chun
(Founder of the Dunhuang Zheng Ensemble), bringing the sacred lineage of 2,500 years of Chinese history.
• The Modern Pulse: Crausy Ross (Keyboard Virtuoso) and Yesya (Double Bass Master), driving the cinematic, resonant power of this ensemble.
Hosted by UKO Music Studio, with the prestigious support of the Greater Dallas Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce (GDTCC) and the Taiwanese Junior Chamber of Commerce (GDTJCC) Dallas, this is the cultural summit Dallas has been waiting for.
