Dark beer doesn’t automatically mean heavy, bitter, or high-alcohol. This free Beer School class at Grrrowler’s breaks down some of the most misunderstood beer styles and explains how malt, roast level, and balance shape flavor—not strength.
Led by our resident cicerone, the class explores porters, stouts, dunkel, schwarzbier, and black IPAs through guided tasting and discussion. Attendees will learn how to confidently order and enjoy dark beers without ending up with something they don’t like.
This class is ideal for curious drinkers, craft beer fans, and anyone who’s avoided dark beer because of past experiences.
