DALLAS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL TABLE READ - "STRANGE, BUT PERFECT"
"Strange, But Perfect," a dramedy screenplay by Carlo Lorenzo Garcia, won the Texas category in the 2026 Dallas International Film Festival Screenwriting Competition. The feature script follows a tightly-wound, Chicago marketer who is quarantined at his grandmother's rural Texas home, where he clashes with her foul-mouthed caretaker. The free, public event, sponsored by Event Horizon Films, will be performed live by actors from Dallas-based Sherrill Actors Studio, followed by a Q&A.
