Art and Music Jam

Returning for the third year in a row, Creative Concord's Art & Music Jam is a joyful celebration of the creative and performing arts.

Taking place on the 5th and 6th of October in the heart of Concord, the Jam features 16 artists creating 5'x6' canvas paintings in the open air, 3 original local music performance each day on the big stage in the plaza, the debut of 5 new large scale public murals in the downtown area, and a stunning mosaic installation in Salvio Pacheco Square. Free and open to the public, the Art & Music Jam opens each day at 12PM and runs until 6PM.

On Saturday, graduates from Guitars not Guns will open the festivities, followed by music by electropop sensation Soul Glitch, jazzy hip hop band Skinny Hendrixx and the Earthtones, and closes out with salsa and cumbia music by Latin recording artist Chika Di. Sunday will start with a performance in the park by local Taiko ensemble, Diablo Taiko, and will be followed by sensational indie-pop star Emily Afton, R&B indie pop and electronica band The Seshen, and the popular reggae and island music ensemble Paper Kayak. During the day there will be special intimate performances in Salvio Pacheco Square by Solo Opera and internationally acclaimed modern fingerstyle guitarist katgrüvs.

Free to the public, the Art & Music Jam also features interactive booths where children and adults can explore their creativity, and indulge in free pinball arcade games made possible by local pinball wizards at The Flipper Room. Surrounded by excellent restaurants and brew pubs, Todos Santos plaza is a perfect place to come and spend the day and be a part of a truly unique and memorable event.
