JOHN BROTHERS PIANO COMPANY
John Brothers Piano Company is an Oakland-based instrumental quartet whose compositions oscillate between incisive part-writing and unrestrained improvisational energy.
Guided by this interplay, seemingly disparate influences, from chamber music to hot jazz, are focused through emphatic lyricism.

PROG FROG BAND
Prog Frog was born out of a trip that Eli Carlton-Pearson (vocals and guitar), Ali Rucker (vocals and flute), and Tommy O’Mahony (bass) took to Ireland in 2022. Prog Frog has a unique yet coherent sound, drawing from 70’s prog rock (Yes, King Crimson, Pink Floyd), alternative folk (Nick Drake, Elliot smith), Irish traditional music (Tommy peoples, Paul Brady), modern jazz (Brad Mehldau, The Bad Plus) and spiritual jazz (Alice Coltrane, Pharaoh Sanders). Prog Frog recently released their debut EP “Frog Prog” exclusively on band camp and cassette. The first 2 singles from the EP, the titular “Frog Prog” and Ali Rucker’s distinct and moody reharmonization of Smokey Robinsons classic “My Girl”, are available more widely on all major streaming services. These days the core trio is often joined by a rotating percussion/drum chair, commonly filled by Chris Peck or JT John. They h/ ave been making a name for themselves in the last couple years playing different venues from festivals to rock clubs to a local barbershop and house shows.
