Marco & the Polos While growing up, the sibling quartet of Judith (keys, hand percussion), Tricia (guitar, banjo), Frances (vocals), and Mick (Marco) Hellman (drums) played the original call-and-response game after which their band is named. Their music ranges from blues and rock covers to Americana-tinged originals. They are accompanied by a rotating cast of some of the Bay Area’s finest session players. As comfortable gracing festival stages as they are breaking hearts in intimate listening rooms, Marco & the Polos are a mainstay of the Bay Area acoustic scene and a fixture at the Hardy Strictly Bluegrass Festival. Purple Glaze Purple Glaze is a Bay Area-based acoustic Americana band and arts collective borne of their shared love of artisan pottery. Showcasing the signature mother-daughter harmonies of Kate and Tricia Gibbs, they perform original songs and reimagined arrangements of traditional folk and bluegrass supported by some of the Bay Area’s top acoustic pickers.
