Kicking out the jams - Free music event with the East Bays own GARAGELAND RODEO
Since 2004, GarageLand Rodeo has been a force in the East Bay music scene, offering up high-energy rock, blues & soul music with a sound that is reminiscent of the Stones/Black Crowes/Tesdeschi-Trucks, interspersed with Etta James, Aretha Franklin and Allman Brothers. This is not a typical cover band, nor a top-40 live jukebox outfit, by any means. We rock hard and we deliver our crunchy sound with passion and humor, over a variety of genres. Our audiences have come to expect shows that can deliver a thrilling array of familiar tunes, alongside some very deep pulls from vinyl B-sides, some very imaginative reworking of songs you thought you knew, and some original tunes, too! We will take you on a musical journey. Our name sometimes has led folks to expect country music, but the moniker owes more to serendipity and phonetic resonance than to any equine or bovine association. This is not to say you won’t hear a country song or two, but they’ll be rendered in our own style.
