16th Annual 50|50 Show Opens Sept 6 — 7
Pacifica, CA Sanchez Art Center is full of joy with the announcement of the SF Bay Area’s favorite art extravaganza and the most wonderful time of year: the 50|50 Show! The 50|50 Show is a highly anticipated destination for art lovers throughout the greater SF Bay Area and beyond, showcasing the work of over 50 California artists. Since the first show in 2009, 48,700 small (6” x 6”) affordable artworks have been created by +950 artists. The Opening Benefit Fundraiser for the 2024 will be held Fri, Sept 6 – Sat, Sept 7. Tickets are limited and none will be available at the door, so purchase yours early on Eventbrite.com. The Benefit Fundraiser provides the opportunity to select your day and timed interval to see the show — the only days to view over +2650 works in their entirety — and also offers live music, the opportunity to chat with artists in the show, and to purchase your favorite pieces. (Note: all works stay on the wall during the opening, and can either be picked up or shipped to buyers for a small fee as of the week of Sept 9.)
Missed out on opening tickets (they go fast!) or away that weekend? Don’t worry! The show will open to the general public at no charge on Sunday, Sept 8, 1— 5 pm. The 50|50 Show offers an astounding array of artwork in a variety of mediums from fiber to watercolor, oil and acrylic. Mixed media to ceramic and glass. Photography, collage, encaustic to print and more. Art enthusiasts making purchases after the opening will get to immediately take their newly acquired artworks home. From Fri, Sept 13 through the show’s closing on Sun, Oct 6, galleries are open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 1– 5 pm. Visitors are also welcomed in the afternoon during the week by advance appointment. 70% of art sales go directly to the artists. Proceeds from the opening fundraiser and 30% of art sales support Sanchez Art Center, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with a mission of Creating Community through Art.
