RLCC Solo Exhibit for February: Rucha Chattur "Soul Goes Solo"

Rucha Chattur is a multidisciplinary mixed‐media artist whose work blends technical precision with emotional, organic expression. With a background in engineering and a Post‐Baccalaureate in Visual Arts from UC Berkeley Extension, she draws inspiration from both her Indian heritage and her life in California. Her artistic practice spans two continents and reflects a global perspective on the transformative nature of creativity. In her series “Soul Goes Solo,” she uses metal as both subject and metaphor—treating jewelry forms as representations of the body and expressions of the soul. The series highlights beauty driven by spirit rather than material value, using a limited palette and themes of isolation to invite viewers to see traditional jewelry in a new artistic context. She is also a tech program manager and mother of two, bringing a multifaceted lens to her creative work. Rucha’s exhibition, Soul Goes Solo, will be on view at the RLCC Gallery Wall fromFebruary 1-28. Her work draws inspiration from traditional Indian jewelry and everyday objects, transforming them into stand-alone works of art that explore identity, heritage, and meaning beyond material value. 📍 Exhibition Dates: February 1–28, 2026 📍 Location:Robert Livermore Community Center Gallery Wall 4444 East Avenue, Livermore
