Wildchoir Farm Workday & Community Sing
Together we’ll get our hands in the soil to support Planting Justice’s Mother Farm in El Sobrante. Over a dozen formerly incarcerated staff members helped build this ecosystem, which also serves as a sanctuary for people getting out of prison to come home to living wage jobs, connected to the land and the abundance of life it supports. Food from the farm is distributed for free to schools and low-access places in our communities. We’ll also be leading volunteers in a community singing experience to kick off and end the workday. We’ll learn protest songs to nourish our spirit in these challenging political times. We invite participants to take these songs back into their communities and spaces they organize.
Come reconnect with the land, experience the healing power of music, and build community at the Wildchoir Farm Workday!

When: August 29th 9:30am-12:30pm (you’re welcome to drop in and stay as long or as short as you like)
