From the landmark 1874 Supreme Court case involving Chinese women to today’s generation of judges and elected officials, this exhibit, curated by Dr. Chang Chen, celebrates the everyday individuals who stood up for their rights and, in doing so, helped redefine the American story.

About the Curator:
Dr. Chang C. Chen is a California attorney and creator of the Herstory 1–3 series, collected by the Library of Congress and exhibited in over 80 institutions, including Harvard Yen Ching Library, UBC Library in Canada and National Taiwan University in Taiwan.
