Alamo Ace Hardware is the Presenting Sponsor of the parade, which will be held on Friday, July 4, 2025.
The long-standing, hugely popular parade—Kiwanis SRV’s signature fundraiser—annually draws more than 125 parade entries and more than 40,000 spectators from local neighborhoods and regional communities, making it one of the largest 4th of July parties in the San Francisco Bay Area. Celebrants line the parade route (often reserving spots the night before), 9am to noon, from San Ramon Valley High School south along Hartz Avenue to Town and County Drive for a day of patriotic celebration and family fun.
To recognize the 50th anniversary of the Kiwanis 4th of July Parade in Danville, this year’s parade theme is Celebrating 50 years of Community Service. Named the 2025 Parade Grand Marshal, Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano is also celebrating 50 years of community service.
"We’re honored to partner with the Kiwanis Club of San Ramon Valley as Grand Marshal of this year’s 50th annual Kiwanis Danville 4th of July Parade,” said Caitlin Sly, President and CEO at the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano. “The Kiwanis Club has been a longtime supporter of our mission to lead the fight to end hunger, and we’re proud to celebrate these milestones together as both of our organizations mark a 50-year anniversary serving the community.”
Though historic and steeped in tradition, the Kiwanis 4th of July Parade in Danville continues to stay fresh and contemporary, showcasing the best of Danville—its community spirit and welcoming nature.
Scout units lead off the parade, followed by floats spotlighting local businesses and service clubs, high school marching bands, rock bands on flatbed trucks, classic cars, big trucks, military and Veterans organizations, spirit and cheer squads, youth sports such as Little League and taekwondo demonstration teams, dignitaries and elected officials, neighborhood groups wrapped in red, white & blue, and more.
“The Town of Danville is proud to celebrate the Kiwanis 4th of July Parade, a cherished tradition that embodies the spirit and legacy of our community,” said Danville Mayor Renee Morgan. “I have been coming to the parade for almost 40 years, and it has always brought my family and friends together, creating memories that will last a lifetime. The 4th of July parade symbolizes the heart of Danville and is a reflection of our camaraderie and commitment to honoring our nation’s independence."
Funds raised through parade sponsorships go toward the Kiwanis SRV Grants Program, which provides grants to local and regional nonprofits, oftentimes funding projects that would otherwise go unrealized. Since 1995, Kiwanis SRV has presented grants totaling more than $1,150,000 to more than 120 Tri-Valley area nonprofit organizations.
