Fiat Lux: Sean Hallowell
di Rosa presents "Fiat Lux" at di Rosa Downtown: a series of performances by audio-visual artists working with light, sound, and movement to create immersive experiences. On Friday, February 28, composer and video artist Sean Hallowell will perform at First Street’s Artist’s Alley. Hallowell’s audiovisual performance draws on melodies and techniques from Medieval European vocal music, and features polyrhythmic electronic beats set to visuals generated by analog video synthesizers of the composer's own design.
Fiat Lux at di Rosa Downtown will continue with a performance by artist Joe Shoemaker on March 28.
