This workshop will feature:
- A brief history of institutional racism in the US
- Hands-on engagement
- Discussions on anti-black racism within systems of policing and housing
- Tools, strategy and complex discussion around how to disrupt the current systems
- Better understanding of the systems and legacy of anti-Black racism in the United States.
This workshop is designed for middle and high school girls as well as nonbinary-identified students comfortable with participating in a girl-centered program.
For ages 12-18. Registration is required. Led by the Bright Futures Leadership Team, in partnership with YWCA Columbus.
