Family Trivia Night - St. John Dublin Church


Trivia Night at St. John is back again for 2025! It will be taking place Friday, March 7th 2025 from 7-10 PM. The proceeds from this event benefit the St. John Youth Group and will help defray the cost of traveling to the 2025 National Youth Gathering in New Orleans, LA. Doors: 6 PM Event Duration: 7-10 PM (3 hours) Event Start Time / Start of Trivia Questions: 7 PM Registration: Each team/table will have up to 8 participants. Team captains can register multiple people at once and individuals can also sign up and be placed on a team. Cost: $20 per person in advance, $25 at the door (night of event) Mulligans: $5/each or 5 for $20 (a mulligan gives you full credit for a question in case you don't know the answer or give an incorrect answer). Note that Mulligans can only be purchased by each team's captain and the max per team is 5. Trivia Details: There will be 10 rounds of 10 questions. Teams will be allotted 60 seconds to answer each question. Categories will vary but some will be common (ex. sports, music, history, etc.) and some will be fun and/or unique (past ex. Harry Potter, "Is this Crayola crayon color included in the box of 64?"). If multiple winning teams are tied after 10 rounds, the tie will be broken through an additional 11th round. Pen and paper will be used to submit answers and scoring will be done manually. Prizes: There will be prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams. Additional Fun: A "mini game" will be offered during the break at a cost of $5. The winner will receive a gift card! A 50/50 drawing will also be offered - must have cash on hand to participate. Food / Drink: We will be offering light appetizers and beverages (water, lemonade, etc.). Participants can also bring their own food and beverages - alcohol is permitted (please drink responsibly).
