A special opening reception will be held at the Ohio Craft Museum on Sunday, February 15, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, with a gallery talk by curator Larry Collins at 3:00 pm. Jazz band Synergy (featuring Collins on drums) will play from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The exhibition will remain on view through Saturday, April 4.
“Milestones” is part of Handwork 2026, Craft in America’s nationwide semiquincentennial collaboration showcasing the importance of the handmade and celebrating the diversity of craft that defines America.
Using Davis’s groundbreaking 1958 album, Milestones, as a starting point, curator Larry Collins, a mixed-media artist and jazz musician, invited artists to create works that reflect the spirit, rhythm and cultural legacy of jazz while celebrating the turning points that shape both art and life.
