Irreverent Warriors Silkies Hike
Grab your silkies, your boots, and your rawest humor. Vets and military service members take to the streets of Columbus OH for our annual Irreverent Warriors Silkies Hike. We're about the fun, the physicality, and the laughter - all for a purpose. We use humor and camaraderie to improve mental health and prevent veteran suicide.
We'll gather at the National Veterans Memorial and Museum on 7 June 2025 from 0730 to 0830. Step off at 0900. We'll hike 8 – 14 miles, but this ain't no hump. We're not racing nor proving our endurance. We've all done that. Nope, we lift our banners and hike a planned route together, stopping along the way for food, refreshments, and plenty of opportunities to connect with other vets and service members. Come join us.
We welcome all Veterans and Military Service Members (Active Duty, Reservists, National Guard, even Coasties). If you're on wheels, let us help you roll. Pre-hike and post-hike events planned and unplanned.
Our mission is to bring veterans together using humor and camaraderie to improve mental health and prevent veteran suicide.
