Be Wild, ReWild! At the Licking Park District, we are your 1600 acre backyard. Every day we work to fulfill our mission to preserve and conserve natural areas within Licking County, while protecting wildlife and local history in a manner that enriches our communities and provides access to diverse parks, educational opportunities and health and wellness activities.
Now we are encouraging our community to work together to increase the beneficial impact on our environment by what you do in your outdoor spaces! Choices and changes you make in your yard can have big impacts for the plant and animal communities that share our world. By taking small steps to create habitat, plants, wildlife, and people can thrive!
This challenge is a fun way to help you set goals for your space, whether it be supporting pollinators, managing rainwater, or creating a beautiful space to enjoy birds and other wildlife. Anyone can participate! Whether you have a large or small space or are new to the topics or already have some experience, there is something in the challenge you can accomplish. Plus, you earn rewards! Already participating in a program aimed at improving you backyard for nature? Even better - you can increase your impact!
Register for a Yard ReWild Intro Program with the Licking Park District. This program will go over the challenge criteria, where to find resources, and an initial questionnaire for us to measure progress.
At the program you will receive:
A voucher for 12 native plants of your choosing from Monarch Meadows at Lynd's located in Pataskala.
A Participation Form to help keep track of your progress. Information on when to pick up your free keystone native tree provided in partnership with US Fish and Wildlife.
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED
