Join us to learn how to create nutrient-rich compost right at home! Whether you have a small garden, a backyard, or just a few potted plants, this program is perfect for anyone interested in reducing waste and boosting soil health. We will go over what compost is and how to use it, what can and cannot be composted, when to turn and water your compost, and troubleshooting! Free. Register by May 13.
The program will start with a presentation at the James Bradley Center. The first portion will focus on small backyard prairie. The second part will feature specialists from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service who will share different strategies for establishing larger prairie plots, provide an overview of the resources and funding available. This indoor portion will be followed with an outdoor tour to compare a small pocket prairie and the large prairies at Infirmary Mound Park. Join us for this fun and interactive class! Register by July 20th. Meet at James Bradley Center. The alternate date will be August 15th.
