Metropolitan Youth Foundation's 25th Annual All-Star Saturday
EVENT OVERVIEW
Columbus, Ohio –The Metropolitan Youth Foundation of Central Ohio is thrilled to invite families from
across Greater Columbus to the 25th Annual All-Star Saturday Basketball and Easter Egg Hunt, held on
Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the Bruce Howard Recreation Center (2505 N. Cassady Ave., Columbus,
OH). The event kicks off at 9:30 AM and features a full day of family-friendly activities, youth basketball
games, and one of Columbus’ largest Easter egg hunts—all completely FREE.

Day’s Activities
9:30 am Kids line-up for the Easter egg hunt
10:00 am Easter egg hunt
10:30 am – 3:00 pm FREE food & drinks, face painting, caricature artists, and entertainment
10:30 am – 5:00 pm Youth All-Star Basketball - (elementary, middle school & high school all-star games)

“This is our 25th year of bringing All-Star Saturday to the Columbus community—and our 10th year under
the Metropolitan Youth Foundation of Central Ohio,” said Richard Crockett, Founder of the event and of
the Foundation. “With the help of our title sponsor Capital Transportation Academy and our event
sponsors, Donatos, Pepsi, Conn’s, Radio One, and iHeart Media, we’re proud to provide a free day of fun,
food, and positive activities that celebrate and support the youth of Greater Columbus.”
ABOUT THE EVENT
All-Star Saturday began in 1998 as a small community celebration hosted by Capital Transportation, Inc.
and has grown into a major community tradition, now attracting 1,500–2,000 attendees annually.
Organized by the Metropolitan Youth Foundation of Central Ohio (MYF), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the event
continues to focus on community engagement, youth development, and family enrichment. Future
planning for All-Star Saturday includes expansion of the event, addition of more community outreach
