Volunteer Week 2025: United is the Way! For National Volunteer Week, April 21-26, United Way of the Midlands (UWM) Volunteer Center and our impact partners are celebrating UWM centennial year and our collective impact by rallying 100 teams to take on 100 projects while raising $100 for each individual to support local nonprofits. This isn’t just volunteering—it’s impact in action. This year, we are partnering with 30 local non-profit host organizations, April 21 - 26...This week culminates with our Centennial Celebration at Segra Park Saturday, April 26. How can you get involved?? ✔ Form Your Team – Gather approximately 4-10 people ready to take action. We can accommodate smaller or larger teams for some projects if needed. ✔ Find Your Project – Projects range from food prep/delivery, home repairs and builds, paint jobs, a spaghetti dinner, exterior and grounds work, community gardens, etc. ✔ Raise $100 Each – Every participant commits to raising at least $100 or secure a full team sponsorship, supporting both the host organization and United Way of the Midlands. ✔ Make a Lasting Impact – Funds raised are shared 50/50 between United Way and its impact partners, or 75/25 for local organizations beyond United Way’s network.
