For those who don't (yet) know: Fasching is what Bavarians call The "Fifth Season" between winter and spring. Set around Lent. And dedicated to one thing: Fun.
What else to expect:
Friday, February 21 - Weiberfastnacht. Ladies Night. Or Witches Night. Or a combination of both. Ladies enjoy discounted drinks and apps. Music by Columbi-ja's own DJ Irv. Doors open at 4 pm and close at 9.
Saturday, February 22 – Fasching Costume Garten Party. Costume contests. Bier (and lots of it). Kids’ activities. Live music. Food specials, including Frikadellen (minced meat patties), Schweinesteaks (marinated and grilled pork steaks), and sharable Party Platters. The event is FREE to attend and opens at noon.
Various vendors will be on hand from 12:00-6:00 on Saturday; Music Sodas, non-alcoholic beers, wines, Glühwein, and hot chocolate will also be on hand. Fire pits and heaters when it’s cold. And the Bierhall will be decorated in harlequin colors.
