From featured artist Jonathan Nishimoto we have Mono no Aware.
"Mono no Aware," the Japanese concept of ‘the pathos of things’ or ‘a sensitivity to ephemera’ explores the fleeting nature of life and beauty. Through the traditional Japanese art forms of dorodango (泥だんご) and suminagashi (墨 流 し) , this work reflects on the impermanence of all things, acknowledging that beauty and sorrow coexist in their transitory states.
"Mono no Aware" invites contemplation of the beauty found in impermanence. It is a reflection on loss, acceptance, and the quiet grace that comes from embracing the fleeting nature of all things. This exhibition offers an opportunity to pause, reflect, and appreciate the transitory moments that shape our lives.
Additionally we have Lucy Hancock with some blue paintings in the hall.
Come to Disruptor Gallery for a night of art, refreshments, and community! February 7th, from 5-9PM. The show will run through until February 28th.
