5/21 at Wash Park Art Gallery: ARTIST TALK with ANNA VanMATRE
An evening of community and conversation exploring the art of Anna VanMatre, particularly the exhibited US premiere of installations commissioned by the SKYSEA Museum of Art and the Xiyun Academy Gallery (Guiyang, China, 2025).
Originally from Poland. VanMatre began her artistic education at the Krakow Art High school and went on to receive her master’s degree at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. During her studies, VanMatre developed her own unique art style, blurring the lines of abstraction and making the audience question what reality is and isn’t. VanMatre uses her work to illuminate environmental and other urgent issues.
