"I Remember" Story Exchange

FREE "I Remember" Story Exchange LIVE BEYOND THE USUAL...start off your Memorial Day Weekend with stories. The proverbial wisdom that "A story can save a life" is true for our community. Taking just a little bit of time to hear about each others' experiences and reflections helps to weave us all together in positive spirit. We come from every corner, and we are deepened by all kinds of stories...there is so much to say about our family folks, work life, play time, dedicated service, handed down values, cultural and heritage traditions, elder wisdom, overcoming struggle, finding triumph, spiritual mysteries, creepy experiences, surprising life lessons, the natural world, places we have been, people we have known, logic defying encounters, dreams we have dreamed, true love and friendship, a cherished object or heirloom, imaginative material, on and on. If you want to try something truly UNIQUE next Friday, May 22, come out to the The Carnegie Center of Columbia Tusculum and join the circle. In relaxed "MOTH" fashion, we'll entertain each other by exchanging stories. Your offering may come in any package -- from simple spontaneous personal reflection to artistic expression through songs, poems, art, flash prose, hand-me-down heirlooms. Or -- just come to listen in! We carry stories everywhere we go. Be entertained by friends and neighbors across generations. Carry away wonder and inspiration. FREE admission and refreshments. Donations appreciated. Your simple RSVP below will help us make this special. Co-sponsored by The Carnegie Center of Columbia Tusculum and Urban Appalachian Community Coalition. Hosted by TCCCT Artist in Residence Sherry Cook Stanforth. Located at 3738 Eastern Avenue
