East Africa Children’s Concert
The Watoto Children’s Choir from Uganda, East Africa is returning on Friday November 15, 2024, to the Sycamore Presbyterian Church, 11800 Mason-Montgomery Road. Their free song and dance performance, appropriate for all ages, begins at 7:00 PM from their production, “Better Days – There Is Hope”. All speak English and range in age from 9 -13, so meet them in person both before and after the concert. This is a one-of-a-kind family experience. The choir is made up of children who have lost one or both parents. No registration is required.
The Choir has traveled extensively for 40 years, sharing a message of hope for Africa’s most vulnerable children and women. They are very talented choreographically and vocally, full of passion, joy and very inspirational with their faith-based message that praises God!!
The Watoto village was founded in 1984 in Kampala as a safe place where orphaned and vulnerable children can truly experience the love of a family. Watoto means "the children" in Swahili. www.watoto.com
