Blue Ash Montgomery Symphony Orchestra presents “BasSOON It will be Christmas" at its traditional winter holiday concert on Sunday, December 7, at 7:00 pm at Summit City Church in Montgomery. The concert will feature the BAMSO bassoon section in a delightful mashup of Classical and Christmas tunes.
The Cincinnati Choral Society will join the orchestra in a Carol Sing and the Hallelujah Chorus. Other program highlights include Festive Sounds of Hanukkah, A Christmas Festival Overture, and Vaughn-Williams’ Fantasy on Greensleeves.
The winners of the Jack & Lucille Wonnell Young Artists Competition will be announced during the program.

The Blue Ash Montgomery Orchestra (BAMSO) is northeastern Hamilton County’s leading professional orchestra. Now in its 38th season, BAMSO presents 5-6 family friendly concerts per year always free of charge thanks to generous support from the cities of Blue Ash and Montgomery. Artistic Director Michael Chertock is principal keyboardist with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and Chair of the Piano Department at University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. He had his debut as a conductor for the Cincinnati Ballet Orchestra and has also conducted the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the Columbus Symphony, the State Symphony Orchestra of Moscow, and the Moscow Conservatory Orchestra.
