Make the Magic - Kesem at the University of Cincinnati
Make the Magic is the largest fundraising event held by each Kesem chapter, with this year’s event taking place at the Oscar Event Center at Jungle Jim’s on February 22, 2025. The night consists of Cocktail Hour and Silent Auction, Dinner, Dessert and Camper/Counselor speakers along with our fundraising drive towards the end of the event. For 2025, our goal at the University of Cincinnati is to raise $30,000 at Make The Magic for camp in July and year round support. We would love for you to join us in our effort to support children through and beyond their parent's cancer!
Kesem is a nationwide community, driven by passionate college student leaders, that supports children through and beyond their parent’s cancer. Serving children ages 6 to 18, Camp Kesem is provided free of charge. Camp Kesem was founded at Stanford University in 2000 and now has over 116 chapters in 42 states. In 2024, Camp Kesem served over 10,000 children, with a goal of serving many more in 2025. After attending Camp Kesem, parents report their children are more comfortable expressing their feelings, more connected to other children, more confident about handling challenges, and feel better about themselves as a whole.
